Yes, all data you send to Quickfix AI is encrypted using the same security that banks use for online banking. When you generate a reply, the content you're replying to travels through an encrypted connection from your browser to our servers. Nobody can intercept or read your data while it's being sent.
How encryption works
Quickfix AI uses HTTPS encryption for all communication between your browser and our servers. This is the same technology that protects your data when you check your bank account or shop online.
When you click "Generate Reply," the extension sends the context from the page to our servers through an encrypted tunnel. Even if someone tried to intercept the data, they would only see scrambled gibberish instead of your actual content.
You can verify the encryption is active by looking for the padlock icon in your browser's address bar when you visit app.quickfix.ai. This padlock means the connection is secure and encrypted.
Good to know: HTTPS encryption protects your data while it travels between your browser and our servers. It's the industry standard for secure web communication and is used by every major website.
What gets encrypted
Everything you send to Quickfix AI is encrypted:
The content you're replying to that the AI reads
The AI-generated replies we send back to you
Your account information and settings
Your sign-in credentials and session information
Your custom instructions and preferences
The encryption happens automatically. You don't need to enable it or configure anything—it's built into how Quickfix AI works.
Encryption at rest
The small amount of data we do store, like your email address and account settings, is also encrypted when it's stored on our servers. This is called "encryption at rest" and adds another layer of security.
Even if someone somehow accessed our database, they couldn't read your information because it's encrypted with strong security. Only our servers have the keys to decrypt the data when it's needed.
What we don't encrypt
Some information can't be encrypted because it needs to be readable for the service to work:
Your usage statistics (how many replies you've generated today)
Device information (what browser and operating system you use)
Approximate location based on IP address
This information is stored securely but isn't encrypted because our systems need to read it to enforce daily limits and track active devices.
Browser extension security
The Chrome extension itself doesn't store sensitive data on your computer. When you're signed in, the extension stores your session securely in Chrome's storage, which is encrypted by your operating system.
Chrome automatically encrypts extension storage on Windows, Mac, and Linux. If someone steals your laptop, they can't access your Quickfix AI session without your computer password.
