If Quickfix AI isn't generating replies when you click "Generate Reply," it's usually because you've hit your daily limit, you're not signed in, or there's a network issue. Most problems can be fixed quickly by checking your session, internet connection, and usage status.
Check if you're signed in
The most common reason replies don't generate is that your session expired. Click the Quickfix AI icon in your toolbar and check the status.
If you see "Sign in required," your session expired after 7 days of inactivity. Click the sign-in button and enter your email and password (or use Google sign-in) to restore access.
After signing in, try generating a reply again. Your session should work normally for the next 7 days as long as you use Quickfix at least once during that time.
Good to know: Clearing your browser data or cookies can end your session immediately, even if it hasn't been 7 days. You'll need to sign in again after clearing browser data.
Check your daily limit
If you're signed in but replies still won't generate, you might have reached your daily limit. Look at the usage indicator in the top-right corner of the extension panel.
If the indicator is red or shows 100%, you've used up your daily capacity. You'll need to wait until midnight when your usage resets, or upgrade to a higher plan for more capacity.
Free plans have limited daily capacity, Pro has higher daily capacity, and Plus has maximum daily capacity. If you frequently hit your limit, consider upgrading to get more daily capacity.
Check your internet connection
Quickfix AI needs an internet connection to generate replies because the AI processing happens on our servers. If your internet is down or unstable, replies won't generate.
Try loading a different website to verify your internet is working. If other sites load but Quickfix AI doesn't work, the problem might be with our servers or your connection to them.
Some network firewalls or VPNs block connections to our servers. If you're on a work or school network, try using Quickfix AI on your home network or mobile hotspot to see if that fixes it. Your IT department might need to whitelist our domain if they're blocking it.
Error messages and what they mean
Quickfix AI shows specific error messages when something goes wrong. Here's what common errors mean:
"Daily limit reached" - You've used up your capacity for today, wait until midnight or upgrade
"Sign in required" - Your session expired, sign in again
"Network error" - Check your internet connection or try again in a few minutes
"Update required" - You need to update the extension to continue using it
"Server error" - Our servers are having issues, try again in a few minutes
If you see a different error message, contact us through the in-app chat with the exact message text. This helps us diagnose the problem faster.
Try these quick fixes
If you're still having trouble, try these steps in order:
Refresh the page where you're trying to generate a reply
Close and reopen the Quickfix AI panel
Restart Chrome completely (close all windows, then reopen)
Check if the extension needs an update at
chrome://extensions/Disable other extensions temporarily to check for conflicts
Try using Quickfix AI on a different website to isolate the issue
If none of these work, the problem might be specific to the website you're using or a temporary issue with our servers.
