Generate your first reply

Visit any website with text boxes, like Reddit or Twitter. Click in a reply box and you'll see the Quickfix AI icon appear next to the text field. Click the icon to open the panel.

Magic mode is enabled by default, which means Quickfix AI automatically reads the post or comment you're replying to. You don't need to select anything. Learn more about how to generate AI replies (magic mode).

  1. Click "Generate Reply" and wait 2-3 seconds

  2. Review the AI-generated response in the panel

  3. Click the insert button to add it to the text box

  4. Edit if needed, then send your response like normal

Customize how replies are generated

Before generating each reply, you can adjust settings to match your needs:

  • Length - Choose short for quick responses, medium for balanced replies, or long for detailed answers

  • Custom instructions - Add guidance like "Be friendly and use emojis" or "Keep it professional" to match your style (applies to every reply)

Your settings are automatically saved. If you enable site templates, your length preferences will be saved per website. Learn more about how to customize your replies.

After generating, use the Tweak button to refine the result with conversational feedback like "make it funnier" or "add more detail". Learn more about how to tweak and refine responses.

Improve existing text

If there's already text in the field when you click the Quickfix AI icon, you'll see "Improve Reply" instead of "Generate Reply". This mode takes your existing draft and enhances it while preserving your original meaning. Use this to polish rough drafts like "lol ok" or "yeah that works thx", fix grammar, or adjust the tone of something you've already written. The same Tweak button is available to refine the improved version. Learn more about how to improve existing text with Quickfix AI.

Understanding your usage

You can view your usage anytime on your dashboard. The extension shows a warning indicator in the top-right corner when you're running low:

  • Orange - Running low (80-99% used)

  • Red - Daily limit reached (100% used)

Your daily usage depends on how you use Quickfix AI. Longer replies use more capacity than shorter ones. Using manual mode to select only relevant content uses less capacity than automatic mode which reads entire threads. Choosing short length and being selective with context is the most efficient way to maximize your daily usage.

Usage resets every day at midnight. If you run out, you can upgrade your plan or wait until the next day.

Next steps

Try the AI assistant side panel by clicking the extension icon and selecting "Side Panel." Use it to summarize selected text or entire web pages at different difficulty levels.

Explore advanced features like manual context selection for complex conversations, or set up site templates to save your preferred settings per website.
