The Tweak button lets you refine replies conversationally without starting from scratch. After generating a reply, click Tweak and describe what you want to change, like "make it funnier" or "add more detail." The AI updates the reply based on your feedback. This is faster than regenerating and uses less of your daily limit.
What is the Tweak feature?
Tweak is a conversational way to improve replies. Instead of clicking "Generate Reply" again and hoping for something better, you tell the AI exactly what to fix.
The AI remembers the original reply and your feedback, so it makes targeted changes instead of creating something completely different. This gives you more control and saves time.
How to use Tweak
[Screenshot: Generated reply with Tweak button highlighted below]
Generate a reply like normal
Click the "Tweak" button below the generated reply
Type what you want to change (for example: "make it shorter" or "sound more professional")
Press Enter or click "Apply"
Wait 2-3 seconds for the AI to update the reply
You can tweak the same reply multiple times. Each tweak refines the previous version, so you can gradually adjust until it's exactly what you need.
Examples of tweak instructions
Here are some common ways to use Tweak:
"Make it shorter" - Cuts down long replies
"Add more detail" - Expands brief responses
"Sound more professional" - Adjusts tone for work contexts
"Make it funnier" - Adds humor to casual replies
"Remove the emoji" - Takes out emojis if they don't fit
"Be more direct" - Removes filler and gets to the point
"Soften the tone" - Makes harsh replies gentler
"Add a question at the end" - Encourages conversation
The AI understands natural language, so you can describe changes the way you'd ask a friend to edit something for you.
Tweak vs regenerate
Clicking "Generate Reply" again gives you a completely new reply. Sometimes that's what you want, but usually you just need small adjustments.
Tweak is better when the reply is mostly good but needs minor changes. It's faster, uses less of your daily limit, and gives you more control over the final result.
Regenerating is better when the reply missed the point entirely or you want to see a totally different approach.
Good to know: Each tweak uses some of your daily limit, but less than generating a brand new reply. If you're running low on usage, tweaking is more efficient than regenerating multiple times.
Combining Tweak with other features
You can use Tweak alongside custom instructions and length settings. For example, you might have custom instructions set to "Be friendly," but then use Tweak to say "make this one more formal" for a specific reply.
You can also tweak replies that were generated with manual context selection. The AI remembers what context it used, so your tweaks stay relevant to the original conversation.
