No, Quickfix AI is currently only available on desktop computers through the Chrome browser extension. It doesn't work on phones or tablets yet. We're considering mobile versions for the future, but right now you need a desktop or laptop computer to use Quickfix AI.
Why desktop only?
Quickfix AI is built as a Chrome extension, which only works on desktop computers running Windows, Mac, or Linux. Chrome extensions don't work on mobile devices—not even in Chrome mobile on your phone.
Mobile browsers also work very differently from desktop browsers. They don't support the same extension system, and they have different interfaces that would require completely rebuilding Quickfix AI from scratch.
Building a mobile version means creating separate iOS and Android apps, which is a much bigger project than a browser extension. We focused on desktop first because that's where people do most of their writing.
Good to know: Even though Quickfix AI doesn't work on phones, your account and settings are the same everywhere. When we do launch mobile versions, you'll be able to use the same account you already have.
What about mobile Chrome?
Chrome on Android and iOS doesn't support extensions at all. You can install Chrome on your phone, but you can't add the Quickfix AI extension to it.
This is a limitation of mobile browsers, not Quickfix AI. No Chrome extensions work on mobile Chrome, regardless of who makes them.
Some browsers like Kiwi Browser on Android claim to support Chrome extensions, but they're not officially supported and often don't work correctly. We don't recommend trying to use Quickfix AI on these browsers.
Will there be a mobile app?
We're interested in building mobile versions of Quickfix AI, but we don't have a timeline yet. Mobile apps require completely different technology than browser extensions, so it's essentially building the product from scratch for phones.
If we do build mobile apps, they'll likely be separate iOS and Android apps available in the App Store and Google Play Store. They would use the same account and subscription as the desktop extension.
If mobile support is important to you, let us know through the in-app chat. We prioritize features based on user demand, so your feedback helps us decide what to build next.
Alternatives for now
Until mobile versions exist, here are some ways to use Quickfix AI when you're not at your computer:
Use Chrome Remote Desktop to access your desktop computer from your phone. Install the Chrome Remote Desktop app on your phone, set it up on your desktop, and you can control your desktop remotely. Quickfix AI will work through the remote desktop just like it does normally.
If you have a laptop, use that instead of your phone when you need to write responses. Quickfix AI works on all desktop and laptop computers that run Chrome, including Chromebooks.
